Aeration is creating strategic holes into the soil which improves water, air and nutrient penetration. Once complete, the next imperative step is to utilize a process referred to as thatching. Thatching is an imperative process which removes the debris created through the aeration process inclusive of dead grass, roots, and other matter, all of which when removed enables the soil to thrive. Once complete, the landscapers will water to prepare for their next step which is to install grass seed and/or sod grass strips.
